Serving Our People
Serving Our People is one of Australia’s fastest growing charities, established during the global pandemic in March 2020 to serve and support those in need by delivering essential items across Brisbane, Logan, Gold Coast and the Northern Rivers.
It has now become a large non-profit organisation as per the Australian Charities and Non-For-Profits Commission with twenty humanitarian programs addressing; food insecurity, delivery and logistics, emergency relief, homelessness, domestic violence support, multicultural community mentorship and education, mental health support, repurposing furniture and household items, school breakfast and lunch programs, Youth Empowerment programs with the Queensland Police, Youth Justice, providing temporary and permanent accommodation for displaced individuals and families. The charity also work closely with Bond University on research and development to continually explore long-term solutions that could make a fundamental change in society so the impact eradicates the issues today and subsequently the need for charity.
The charity consists of over 2,100 serving members across Southeast QLD and NSW. Thus far, they have been able to assist over 55,000 individuals doing it tough, helping people from all walks of life to deliver basic critical goods in times of crisis.
Serving Our People believe that no small act of kindness is ever wasted and that every contribution helps. It is after all, the little things that add up to something extraordinary.
