Golden Globes: Best Dressed

It was all glitz and glamour at this year’s Golden Globe awards. With bold colours, plunging necklines and bare shoulders ruling the red carpet, Hollywood’s finest took style and glamour to new heights. La la land may have taken home the awards but the designer suits and gowns were the clear winners from the night. Emma Stone was a star on and off the stage. The actress shone in a starry ensemble by Valentino. The pastel hue and plunging neckline accentuated the star’s signature feminine style.

Amy Adams paid homage to her latest film Nocturnal Animals on the red carpet, donning a stunning Tom Ford creation. The strapless black number was the perfect complement to her role in the film. The sequined floor length gown stood out from the crowd and showcased Hollywood glamour.

Drew Barrymore channelled 60s glamour in a shimmering Monique Lhullier gown teamed with a smokey eye and dark manicure. The star gave an edgy twist to the classic look opting for a plunging neckline and bare shoulders. The actress was perfectly on trend for the evening.

Brie Larson stunned in a classic glamour gown from Rodarte. Though we are used to seeing Brie in slightly edgier styles, the hourglass ruby red gown was a winning elegant look.

Michelle Williams’ feminine off the shoulder Louis Vuitton gown teamed with a pussy bow choker perfectly complemented the actress.

Anna Kendrick went for a strikingly sheer gown by Vionnet. The grey floor length gown with sweeping train fit her like a glove and was classic yet edgy. The cinched waist and asymmetrical strap proved to be the perfect combination for the star.

As always, Ryan Gosling had us swooning as he circulated the red carpet in a custom Gucci tuxedo and Christian Louboutin shoes. The white jacket, black bowtie and red flower detail seamlessly embodied his latest movie, La La Land.

Dev Patel opted for a classic look in a two piece Burberry tuxedo. The Lion actor ticked all the boxes, teaming the suit with patent shoes, black bowtie and watch keeping the look simple yet suave.

Drawing in all eyes with a fashion meets art gown, Olivia Culpo stunned in a beautifully ornate design by Zuhair Murad. The full skirt and cheeky midriff cut out made a bold statement on the night.
