From her young career playing the role of Hermione in the Harry Potter series, Emma Watson has evolved into an admirable icon. Emma Watson’s style has continued to evolve over her career, from her red carpet appearances and editorials in Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. Here, we look back at her career highlights as we prepare to witness her grace our screens again this March as the beautiful Belle of Beauty and the Beast, in cinemas March 23 at Event Cinema Indooroopilly.
In 2001, Emma Watson was introduced to us as the adorable witch Hermione in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone at the young age of 11. After winning a number of awards for her work, Emma continued to play Hermione for the next ten years. As we watched Emma grow throughout these films, we were also able to witness the evolution of her style as she appeared on the red carpet, as well as beyond Harry Potter.
Emma continued to prove herself away from Harry Potter, in new movie roles including ‘My Week with Marilyn in 2011, The Perks of Being a Wallflower in 2012, The Bling Ring in 2013, Noah in 2014, as well as Regression and Colonia Dignidad in 2015.
Emma Watson’s elegant and sophisticated style has led her to become a style icon, recognised by top fashion publications including Vogue US, Harper’s Bazaar and Elle.
She has also proven her eye for style through her appearances at special events including the Met Gala, and the Duke of Cambridge’s Royal Marsden dinner in London.
Emma’s role as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations, promoting gender equality as well as sustainability can also be seen through her outfits, as her style not only transcends elegance but also pushes boundaries. Whether this is wearing a dress over trousers at the Golden Globes, or making a political statement wearing a sustainable Calvin Klein outfit made completely out of recycled plastic bottles.
Emma Watson’s next role is the childhood favourite Belle of Beauty and the Beast. She continues to transfer her sophisticated style into the role as she appears on the red carpet of her premiers.
Beauty and the Beast will be in cinemas March 23 at Event Cinema Indooroopilly.
